Federal Student Loans

When students or parents need to borrow, low-cost federal loans should be considered first.

National Education is a company specializing in managing federal student loans, committed to providing exceptional customer service. A real time loan origination process is customized to best suit the system and operational needs at the institution. Institutions have the flexibility to choose the guarantor, the loan origination flow, the method and timing of loan disbursements, the means to exchange the loan data, and how changes will be processed.

National Education operates in a 100% paperless environment. Online applications and services expedite the management of Federal Stafford Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) for undergraduate and graduate students, PLUS Loans for parents, and Grad PLUS Loans for graduate students. Borrowers opting to make their payments using automatic account withdrawal are eligible for a cost savings interest rate reduction of 0.25%.

Please note that, with the passage of the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act, all new federal student loans and federal student loan consolidations will now be provided to borrowers directly by the U.S. Department of Education, beginning July 1, 2010.
